Shrek ICE

Before we went to Shrek ICE Jay and Talen went exploring around the National Harbor.  They checked out the Gaylord hotel first and Talen was excited to ride the train.

The big Christmas tree down by the water

Had to check out the Peeps store and get some Mike n Ikes

All bundled up and ready to go!

Shrek ICE is created with 5,000 BLOCKS of ice, hand-sculpted by 40 international artisans and kept at a chilling nine degrees Fahrenheit.  We had no idea what to expect until we got inside.  We dressed pretty warm but by the time we were done it was so freezing I couldn't feel my hands.

Here I am with Fiona as we hold our babies:)

It was so amazing to see all these different scenes they sculpted with the ice.  All the detail and color is so neat.  I can't imagine the time and effort it took to make all these.  I wish it wasn't so cold inside so I could've enjoyed the detail a little more.

It's hard to see in the picture but there is two ice slides on the left and two ice slides on the right.

Waiting in line to go down the slides
My sister was a sport and went down with Talen

 Here he comes!

It was really neat at the very end they had carved out the whole nativity scene and different parts lit up as they told the story.
